So I frequent on a few internet marketing forums & I see the question “where to start in affiliate marketing” (or something similar) get asked several times every single day.
Now my advice to anybody just starting out in affiliate marketing would be to leverage their learning curve & use it to their advantage.
The first thing you should do is setup your own blog & as you learn new things publish posts on what you’ve learned to your blog. There’s an absolutely massive amount of people looking for this information & you could easily turn your learning curve into an income by monetizing your blog with adverts/affiliate links.
So let’s say you just discover LeadPages & learn how to create a landing page, why not create a post on your blog entitled “How To Create A Landing Page With LeadPages”?
After just a month of publishing posts daily you could easily soon see your blog to averaging over 100 visitors daily especially if you’re linking back to your posts from social media too.
My biggest regret is not starting a blog sooner. I swear if I started a blog when I first started online marketing & updated it daily with what I’d learned each day then I’d be a millionaire right now.
No matter how much you know there’s always more to learn & personally still learn new things every single day even though I’ve been in the game for over 8 years (3 years full time).
Newbies always clam they’re struggling for a niche well this is a really easy one for you so now there’s no excuses!
If you kept it up & published at least 1 post per day then after a year you’d have 365 posts on your blog. Let’s just say that each of those posts averages a measly 5 visitors per day, that would be 1,825 visitors coming to your website every single day.
How much money do you think you could make from that many visitors?
Well putting the adverts aside lets say you managed to squeeze an affiliate link into every single post, it’s certainly possible. We’ll play on the side of caution and say that 1% of your traffic is converting, so that’d be around 18 people purchasing something every day through your affiliate links.
Now we’ll say that you average $5 commission on your links, so already that’s a whopping $90 per day & that’s not even taking into account email lists or advertising.
So if you’re looking to start out in affiliate marketing that’s definitely where I’d start!
Don’t forget you’re only writing one post per day too so you’ve still got plenty of time to manage other websites on the side & increase your income even more.
Alternatively you could publish 2 posts to your blog each day, so going by the same logic as above of each post getting 5 visitors per day then your blog would now be receiving 3,650 visitors every day.
