The truth is that most people who look to make money online either never even get started, or start & end up failing miserably.
These are the same people that then go to on to claim that “the internet doesn’t work” and that “making money online isn’t possible”.
However, as I proved in one of my recent blog posts, making money online is definitely possible.
So why are so many people failing?
Reason #1- People are LAZY
Yes, I said it. 🙂
And my recent observations after launching Blog & Bank back this theory up 100%.
People want everything, but they are not willing to do anything to get it. They want it handed to them, and if it’s not getting handed to them, they don’t want to know.
That’s the reason people are still getting suckered into scams day in day out in 2017 – it’s not because of their stupidity, it’s because of their laziness.
People want the easy route, the shortcut…. Which is what all those scammy types of systems prey on.
So then these people getting burned (shock) and suddenly the internet is just one big scam and “nothing works”.
But the bottom line is it’s not the systems or the methods that don’t work – it’s the people!
You see I was fed up of all these get-rich-quick type systems that promise the world but never deliver, so I decided to launch my own system, Blog & Bank.
Blog & Bank was launched as a system to finally provide actionable training that people could use to build a REAL online business (through blogging).
I put countless amounts of hours into the training videos to make sure they delivered massive value, and even if I do say so myself, I do feel like they deliver.
However… Despite this most people don’t want to know…
They want to have an online business and they want the money that the business can provide, but they don’t want to have to put in any effort.
Which is insane!
Since Blog & Bank is relatively new I’ve been keeping a close eye on the analytics to see how people are progressing through and making sure everything’s running smoothly, and there’s a major trend I’ve noticed…
People get to the step where they’re told they have to do something (create a blog), and then they stop dead in their tracks.
It’s as if they say to themselves, “what? – I have to actually do something to make money!? That’s crazy!”.
I mean, people shouldn’t have to do anything to make money should they?… It should just fall into their laps out of the sky… LOL. 🙂
We can laugh at it, but that actually seems to be the way a lot of people seriously think.
Now don’t get me wrong, I’ve had a few awesome people come through Blog & Bank already who’ve really got stuck in with the training, launched their own blogs & even networked with me. So the training works, and there are people out there that work… It’s just that they are very few and far between.
So if you’re reading this post right now and you’re struggling online, ask yourself – are you really doing everything you could be doing, or are you chasing silver bullets looking for an easy break?
Because let me tell you, there ain’t no easy way, and the sooner you learn that the better.
Success takes hard work, there’s no two ways about it, and the only way you can even think about speeding it up is to find a mentor to show you the way.
It’s like the gym – if you were to train on your own, you might get results but it’d probably be a long drawn out process. On the other hand if you had a personal trainer working with you then you could most likely achieve your goals much quicker, and it’s exactly the same in business.
A mentor is to your business what a personal trainer is to your biceps. ??
Reason #2 – Scared money don’t make money
I see this allllllllllllll the time & I’m not going to lie it really boils my blood.
Yes there are a lot of scams online, and yes you do have to be careful with your money.
If you want to start a REAL business online, you’re going to absolutely have to spend money.
There’s absolutely no way around it, whether it be on a domain name, web hosting, web design, logo design, marketing…. whatever….
There’s going to be a cost somewhere along the line and I can guarantee that 100%.
Just like you would expect to pay out on things if you were to start a traditional brick & mortar business, the internet is no different.
Yet for some reason whenever it comes to spending money to make money online people’s brains seem to turn to mush.
If I had a penny for every time I’ve heard “what, I had to spend money to make money? sounds like a scam” – I’d be a VERY rich man.
I mean sure, you could carry on filling in paid surveys for the rest of your living days and earning what, $50 on a good month?
Or you could put that $50 into something useful like buying a domain name & web hosting and starting a REAL business that can generate you multiple thousands, and ultimately do so in a much more passive manner.
But meh, there just doesn’t seem to be any telling these people. I mean you try and help, but at the end of the day to them you’re just the guy that’s trying to rob them…. So why should they listen to you? Heh. 🙂
If you’re starting a business online, reasonable things to spend your money on include things like:
- A domain name
- Web hosting
- Marketing / Paid advertising
- Logo design / Website design
If somebody is asking you to pay them $1,000 so that they can make you $5,000 back without you doing anything then yeah, it’s probably a scam.
You’ve just got to exercise caution but never rule out the possibility of investments.
The simple thing to remember is that if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is – and if you’re unsure, do your due diligence first.
In fact second that, ALWAYS do your due diligence.
Oh the internet….
It’s such a wonderful tool, but what you’ve got to remember is that it’s still relatively new & people seem to think that it’s magical.
The truth is that it’s not, and if you want to make money online then it’s certainly possible BUT you are going to have to put in some work.
And how much work you need to put in will depend on entirely what you want to get out.
So where do you start?
Hopefully you’ve read this post, realised where you might have been going wrong & now you’re pumped and ready to go make some cash.
The question is where do you start, what do you do, and what business do you launch?
Well ultimately that’s up to you – but I may be able to help point you in the right direction.
