Freelancing has become one of the most desirable means of generating an income online but the problem is that some of the offers are completely fake and cost us a lot of time and effort without awarding anything in return. Ubiqus is yet another promising website I just came across a few days back.

Ubiqus Website ScreenshotI went through the other reviews, checked and analysed the website, and then decided to write this Ubiqus review of my own to provide my readers with reliable information, facts and the precise working of this platform.

First of all, everybody who wants to earn an income online through transcription and translation services will likely want to know the answer to the notorious question, is Ubiqus a scam?

Well to conclude the answer, the only way is to first go through each and every significant aspect about the platform but before going into further details, it is important to first introduce you to the website and its claims.

What Is Ubiqus?

The first look at the Ubiqus website reflects a nice and professional platform. Though unlike most of the online income generating offers I come across, Ubiqus website doesn’t contain any sort of promotional or demonstration video.

What Does It Offer?

Ubiqus offers online translation, interpretation and transcription services in over 70 languages and to serve its clients, Ubiqus invites translators, interpreters, and transcribers from all over the world to join the platform & make money. The website claims the facility of flexible work hours depending on your schedule.

Ubiqus Europe

This platform seems fairly legitimate because I didn’t find any considerable hint of Ubiqus being a scam. But how much do you earn in relation to the time and effort you put in to complete the assignments? That’s the next most important thing which I’ll touch on in a moment.

A Brief History

Since 1991, Ubiqus has been serving hundreds of brands, companies, and offices with its translation and transcription services. The company was originally established in France but spread its representatives in different countries with the passage of time. These facts are solid arguments to justify the legitimacy of the website. Now, it’s time to get to know how it works, what does a translator earn and how much does he/she have to work.

How Does Ubiqus Work?

You can opt for translation, transcription or interpretation services. As a transcriptionist, you’ll be most likely dealing with legal, medical and business transcriptions. Ubiqus reps will provide you with the audio files and you’ll type everything you listen. This is perhaps one of the easiest tasks on earth and many freelancers love to take on such projects on freelancing market places like Freelancer. You just need high-speed internet connectivity, a laptop or PC, and a couple of free hours from your daily routine.

Transcription Translation and Interpretation

For translation services, you’ll have to look consider the languages you can fluently speak and type. You must possess fluency in English languages in addition to your mother tongue or national language. The workflow, in this case, depends on the availability of assignments for a certain language. If you know French, Spanish, Dutch, German, Italian or other popular European languages, that will be a huge advantage.

How Much Can You Earn?

Revealing the exact formula isn’t possible because the website doesn’t mention anything about the payment in relation to the volume of work. I did some research from external sources though, and the reviews from the people who’ve worked for Ubiqus suggest that transcription jobs pay around $0.007/word but this calculation is not consistent as it fluctuates with the varying reviews. The experience and work quality also play an important role in the determination of the earning level.

In my opinion, the payment is not as much as most of the transcriptionists would expect. Most of the freelancing marketplaces, for instance, Freelancer, Upwork, and Fiverr feature projects which offer much more. But the problem is that you have to compete well in the case of freelancer marketplaces and those projects are short-lived.

It’s worth pointing out here that a course like Transcribe Anywhere could help you gain a good advantage on those types of marketplaces though.

But to be honest we can’t really expect high payments for this type of work these days because of the fact that the number of freelancers continues to grow with literally every minute that passes. People all over the world love to earn some extra money through these online opportunities so there is no shortage of workforce.

A Downside – The Interrupted Workflow

The workflow isn’t consistent and for the freelancer, lack of work hurts the most. It isn’t generally the low price paid but the gaps and interruptions during which freelancers find nothing to do that causes the problem. This is why the average weekly income drops down significantly. You need to keep this in mind when trying to figure out the anticipated earning.

On paper, Ubiqus seems to be a great opportunity promising consistent freelancing work for transcriptionists and translators. In reality, there are issues with the workflow, quality of audio which you have to transcribe, the accent of the speaker in the audio and most importantly, the payment rate. Had each of these issues been resolved, Ubiqus might have become one of the most popular and desirable platforms for the freelancers all over the world but sadly right now it isn’t so.

Is Ubiqus a Scam?

Considering the facts, working, and the history of the platform, I’ve no doubt in my mind that Ubiqus is NOT a scam but is a completely legitimate website. People have worked on this website and they have earned as well and not a single freelancer has doubted its legitimacy.

The issues that are present which I talked about above are merely of general nature which involve the lack of consistent workflow, the low payment, and the lack of quality. You just need to consider your schedule, time, and effort in relation to the anticipated earning.

So overall Ubiqus will be getting a thumbs up from me as it does indeed provide you with a legitimate opportunity to earn money. However, you should be aware that for transcriptionists there are also some other good alternatives, such as Transcribe Anywhere.

Also if you are good at writing & don’t mind transcription work then I would definitely recommend you checking out a program like Commission Academy as overall I think you’d ultimately be able to make more money there by publishing content for yourself.

But anyway whatever you decide to do I hope that this review helped provide you with the insight into Ubiqus that you were looking for & I also hope that it reassured your mind about its legitimacy. If you do happen to have any further questions or comments at all then don’t hesitate to leave them below & I’ll get back to you as soon as possible.

A Better Alternative

The sad truth is that unfortunately most of the programs promising to help you make money online are scams. I can say that confidently after exposing over 500+ of them here on this blog.

But the good news is that even though most of them are indeed scams, there are actually some very good programs in amongst them - some programs that can truly help you to earn money.

And out of all of the legit programs I've seen, the one I would recommend the most to anybody looking to get started online is Commission Academy. In my own opinion, that's the best place to start.

At Commission Academy, you'll be provided with everything you need (including the training & tools) to begin earning real money by promoting products or services for companies like Amazon online.

The best part is that there's literally no limit on the amount you can earn with it & the process is pretty simple which means that it's absolutely perfect for people that don't have much experience.

Some wealthy affiliates even earn as much as 5-figures per month... Or more!

Amazon Earnings Example

I mean don't get me wrong, that kind of money won't just fall into your lap without doing any work... But the harder you're willing to work at it, the more you stand to earn with it.

So if you're looking to get started but don't know which route you should go down or which program you should join (and don't want to waste money on bogus things that don't actually work), then I'd highly recommend checking out Commission Academy first. You can learn more about it here.
